Cancellation of Further Work on Indivisible

505 Games issued a statement detailing what the future has for Lab Zero Game, the development studio responsible for Indivisible game.

It seems further development on the game will cease and this includes all planned extra content and DLC characters. This move was unexpected. It seems the company was either faced with financial trouble or issues pertaining to COVID-19.

Indivisible really had potential as a crowdfunded project in 2015 and the final result was astonishing with cartoonish graphics and fascinating story. The game is available on almost all platforms. It combines adventure, RPG and Metroidvania elements. With this being said, it seems the game doesn't have future on next generation consoles or a hope in getting a sequel.

What about you? Did you try Indivisible? What do you think about it. Let's discuss!

Crash Bandicoot is Back For Real This Time

When was the last time we had a numbered Crash Bandicoot game? Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped was released in 1998 on the original Sony Play Station and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was recently released in October 2, 2020 making them 22 years apart.

Crash certainly had his share of games throughout the years on different consoles having the development of his games distributed between various companies. It was no wonder Crash was a subject of criticism. However, we still enjoy Crash games for the level of entertainment they provide in platforming while other sub games like Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing went to another level. Good thing I still maintain a fairly good number of Crash games from the past.

It’s really about time for Crash 4 to surface as a true current generation game. The remaster of the original trilogy was all about endurance. I prefer Crash games on Sony consoles because we first came to know Crash Bandicoot on PS1.

Are you a fan of Crash Bandicoot? Tell me what your favorite Crash game is and let's have fun discussing it.

Paper Mario: The Origami King

I recently got Paper Mario: The Origami King on Nintendo Switch, the latest game in the Paper Mario series.

The game follows its RPG tradition (except for Super Paper Mario on Wii which was an adventure game) but in origami (Japanese for “folding paper”) style.

Luckily, I own the complete series, but I still prefer the Game Cube game to the rest. Let’s see how The Origami King will be different!

So what is your favorite game in the Paper Mario series?

Play Station 5 Announcement

Sony unveiled its long anticipated Play Station 5 on Friday, June 12, 2020 with a selection of great games in a digital conference in cooperation with various developers to showcase their upcoming games on the console. Watch the reveal video:

The console will come in 2 variants: 1 with a disc player for those who prefer physical media and 1 without the disc player for those who want to enjoy digital content. This can be a sign that the coming generation will be the last generation to use physical media and digital media will be the dominant format in the future.

While many videos for a lot games were shown in the event, I personally enjoyed Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon 2: Forbidden West and Resident Evil (8) Village.

The release date and the price are yet to be officially announced by Sony. The console is expected to release by the end of 2020. It's almost unbelievable that the current generation is coming to an end and we will soon enter the ninth generation of gaming. Isn't that just awesome? Tell me what you think!

Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection

SNK recently released a trailer for one of its most anticipated titles for this year, Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection. A package that includes not just 6 but in fact 7 games from the famed series which are:

  • Samurai Shodown (originally released in 1993)
  • Samurai Shodown 2 (originally released in 1994)
  • Samurai Shodown 3 (originally released in 1995)
  • Samurai Shodown 4 (originally released in 1996)
  • Samurai Shodown 5 (originally released in 2003)
  • Samurai Shodown 5 Special (originally released in 2004)
  • Samurai Shodown 5 Perfect (an original title)

More info on the content of the package can be seen on this trailer:

Samurai Shodown 5 Perfect is highly speculated to be Samurai Shodown 5 Special: Final Edition that was developed and location-tested, but got never officially released as Samurai Shodown 5 Special was the final official Neo Geo game.

As the trailer shows that Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection will be released on Epic Game Store in June 11, 2020, Steam in June 8, 2020 and on Play Station 4 and Switch in July 28, 2020.

This isn't first time for SNK to release a collection for Samurai Shodown games. A compilation under the name Samurai Shodown Anthology was released on Play Station 2, PSP and Wii in 2009 that included Samurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown 2, Samurai Shodown 3, Samurai Shodown 4, Samurai Shodown 5 and Samurai Shodown 6. This was the first time for Samurai Shodown 6 to be released outside Japan on home consoles, because it was only released on Atomiswave Arcade in 2005 and on Play Station 2 in 2006 exclusively in Japan.

What do you think about the new Samurai Shodown collection? On which platform are you going to play it on? Tell me i the comments.
